Google Chrome says goodbye to green ‘Secure’ lock on HTTPS sites.
In the past, we saw a green padlock for secure and grey text for ‘non-secure’ sites.
As HTTPS (secure sites) become the norm, Google will not make it obvious.
BUT they will make ‘non-secure’ more obvious by making the label red.
If you want your customers to come to your site and see non-secure in the address bar, you don’t need to do anything.
If you don’t, then it’s time to make your site secure, just email/call me and I can make it so! you have until October 2018 before the red text appears.
Google says security should be so normal you don’t see it. But bad security should be in your face.
